Forrest Young
Director

Forrest Young founded Dynasty Marine in 1983. He has over 30 years experience with fish collecting and breeding, deep-water diving, and aquarium keeping. As head of the company, Forrest oversees all sales and daily operations, and is involved in all tasks both great and small.

Forrest is originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania. He studied Biological Sciences at East Stroudsburg University, receiving his B.S. in 1976 and his M.S. in 1978. He moved to the Keys in 1978 and has been in the industry ever since!

Forrest has two children, Frank and Katie; and a fiancee, Nineke Roeloffzen.



Ben Daughtry
VP of Operations

Ben coordinates daily operations at Dynasty Marine and is in charge of marine life collections and new project development. He first started working at Dynasty in 1988 as a box boy, and returned in 1995 after finishing college. He became an official business partner in 1998.

Ben is a native Conch, born in Key West and raised in Marathon. He received his Bachelor's degree from Florida State University in 1995. Ben lives in the Keys with his wife and son.



Bucky Wile
Senior Diver

Bucky manages the dive crew and organizes collections every week. He started at Dynasty in September 2001 as a box boy before joining the dive crew in 2005 as a junior diver.

Bucky was born in Louisville, Kentucky and lived there until his family moved to Marathon in 1999. He graduated from Marathon High School in 2004.



Juan Bernal
Lab Manager

Juan joined the Dynasty team in January 2009. As Lab Manager, he maintains best practices in animal husbandry that result in consistent output of high quality stocks.

Juan is originally from Colombia. While there, he received his B.S. in Marine Biology from the JTL Universtiy of Bogota and was involved in several eco-friendly reef diving and education programs. Juan moved to the Keys in 2000 to work for a breeding aquaculture facility. He then went on to receive his M.B.A. from University of Phoenix.

Juan currently lives in Marathon with his wife, 6 year old daughter, a dog and a cat.



Katrina Simmons
Senior Aquarist

Katrina has a true passion for marine life and is dedicated to husbandry and life support of the tropical fish we maintain here at Dynasty. She has been a part of the Dynasty crew since March 2008.

Originally from Hermiston, Oregon, Katrina attended college at Oregon Coast Community College, where she received her A.A.S. in Aquarium Science. During and after college she completed several internships at public aquariums and research facilities, and also worked in veterinary clinics and retail pet stores.


Travis Moore
Transport Specialist/Diver

Travis has been working for Dynasty since August 2005, and moved up to full-time about two years later. He maintains the dive boats and assists with marine collections. Travis is a true team player; he takes on any task that needs doing, from facility repair and plumbing to transports and even dredging.

Travis is another local, born and raised right here in the Florida Keys. He received his GED and while he has no formal education in marine life, he has years of hands-on experience and has gained an extensive knowledge in the industry. Travis is eager to travel the world and experience all of its reefs and marine ecosystems.


Ryan Satow
Diver

Ryan is part of the dive crew and is at sea every week diving for marine life. He also helps maintain equipment and is involved in the packing process. He has been with Dynasty since October 2006.

Ryan is from North Canton, Ohio. He studied at Universtiy of Akron and received his B.S. in Zoology. Before joinging the Dynasty team, Ryan was Saltwater Manager at a retail store, and also built and maintained private aquariums.


Skip Wohlers
Collector and Boat Captain

Skip has been collecting and shipping marine specimens with Dynasty since 1990. Before working here, he was involved in the industry as a boat captain and educator.

Skip was born in New Jersey, but has spent most of his life in Marathon and considers the island his home. He studied at Florida Atlantic University and earned his B.A. in Geography.



Sarah Biffel
Office Manager

Dynasty welcomed Sarah on board in April 2011 as our new Office Manager. She is in charge of accounts payable/receivable and oversees daily office operations.

Before joining us here, Sarah spent a year and a half at Tranquility Bay in Marathon as their Food and Beverage Manager. She is from Downington, PA and was raised both there and here in Marathon. She attended Penn State University and received her B.S. in Hospitality Management.


Greg Scott
Diver

Greg is a member of the dive team. He attended the Divers Acadamy International in Erial, NJ and started his dive career with Dynasty in October 2011. His job responsibilites include marine life collections, equipment maintenance, and packing marine life for our clients' shipments.

Greg was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Mount Olive, NJ. Prior to Greg's decison to become a diver, he was an EKG and Phlebotomy Technician. In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking ad playing the drums.

Jessica Ferguson
Administrative Assistant

Jessica joined the Dynasty Marine office staff in the beginning of December 2011. Her daily job responsibilites include invoicing, making cargo bookings, and all the other efforts that go along with getting our marine specimens to our clients efficiently.

 

She is originally from Sedalia, Missouri, and she attended Missouri State University for General Business courses. Jessica grew up with frequent vacations to Marathon to visit her Grandmother, and she is now happy to call Marathon home.

Kelan Joshua
Aquarist

Kelan graduated from Salem State University in December 2011 with a B.S. in Biology, with a concentration in Aquaculture. There, he was a lab technician at the school's marine lab and clam hatchery. Upon graduating, he decided to move to Marathon to join Dynasty's lab team as an Aquarist. In the lab, Kelan is responsible for maintaining the lab, including the fish health and life support systems. He also assists in packing our clients orders each week, along with the rest of the lab crew and dive team.
