Applicants should be undergraduate students in Biology or related fields at a credited University or College. You must be able to lift 30 lbs and be a hard worker who is willing to get your hands dirty. A background in Caribbean fish identification is helpful, but not required.
Internships are available for bright, hardworking candidates, throughout the year. The selected individual(s) will have the opportunity to work with the Dynasty team in an interesting and fun environment, all while gaining hands-on experience in the industry. You will be involved in activities such as weekly packing and shipping of fish, tank maintenance and cleaning, facility organization, daily feeding (even the sharks!), acclimation and quarantine of wild-caught animals, and helping staff with a wide variety of projects ranging from repairs and plumbing to animal life support. There is no "normal day" here at Dynasty because there is always something new going on.
The internship program requires a minimum commitment of 2 months with 30-35 hours per week of work. This will allow the candidate to have time for additional outside employment and other activities.
At Dynasty Marine, we are always looking for intelligent, hardworking individuals to join our team. Please email a copy of your cover letter and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
