Dynasty Marine Internship

Overview

Internships are available for bright, hardworking candidates throughout the year. The selected individual will have the opportunity to work with the Dynasty team in an interesting and fun environment, all while gaining hands-on experience in the industry. You will be involved in activities such as weekly packing and shipping of fish, tank maintenance and cleaning, facility organization, daily feeding (even the sharks!), acclimation and quarantine of wild-caught animals, and helping staff with a wide variety of projects ranging from repairs and plumbing to animal life support. There is no "normal day" here at Dynasty because there is always something new going on!

Requirements

Applicants should be undergraduate students in Biology or a related field at a credited university or college. You must be able to lift 30lbs and be a hard worker who is willing to get your hands dirty! A background in Caribbean fish identification is helpful, but not required.

Duration

The internship program requires a minimum commitment of 2 months with 35-38 hours per week of work. This will allow the candidate to have time for additional outside employment and other activities.

Housing and Financial Support

Dynasty Marine is located in Marathon, Florida, in the heart of the beautiful Florida Keys. On-site housing may be provided upon availability; Dynasty Marine offers a $50 per week stipend for applicants living in this housing. The internship is otherwise unpaid.
